Christos Papadopoulos is fascinated by nature and in particular its ability to create new forms of life. For this choral piece, he drew his inspiration from the Mycelium, the underground network of interconnected white filaments from which mushrooms emerge. The delicacy of the choreographic score given to the 20 performers of the Lyon Opera Ballet brings to life a mutant body whose movements are so subtle that they could almost be observed under a microscope.
