Thomas Lebrun doesn’t read Marguerite Duras: he listens to her in the radio archives, like music he finds inspiring. Without meeting the writer, she has become a close confidante and the choreographer feels in tune with her: “The emotion I feel listening to her voice and the sense of what she’s saying is similar to what I feel when I’m on stage. The invasion of the being that you feel when you write, when you communicate, when you dance and, more importantly, when you forget that you’re dancing…” This is how he would have wanted to dance alone with Duras.
