La Grande Nymphe refers to the mythological figure whose beauty has often been the subject of male fantasies. Nijinsky’s interpretation certainly made its mark in the history of dance. Lara Barsacq, accompanied on stage by several dancers, takes a different look at it than the one usually imposed. Together, they navigate their way through words, music and poetry, breaking down fixed concepts of sexuality. A sensual battle with tradition aimed at creating new erotic imagery.
