Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker goes back to one of her key principles: “My walking is my dancing”. In EXIT ABOVE, walking as an elementary form of dancing leads to increasingly elaborate motifs so beloved by the choreographer. To accompany her dance, she opts to return to sources of pop, with a resolutely blues soundtrack centred on “walking songs”.
