In December 2018, Alessandro Sciarroni came across the polka chinata. This very demanding folk dance performed in pairs, mainly by men, was on the verge of dying out. To prevent from becoming extinct, the choreographer asked Giancarlo Stagni, a master of Bolognese dances, to pass on the steps and gestures to two professional dancers. At the end of the performance, the audience is taught the basics of the polka chinata to save the last dance – at least temporarily.
